Stripping turf in May 2005
By May we'd built up a good sized pile of turf weeds and other crap. We hadn't built any of the raised beds at this point so working around the pile as it slowly rotted away was posible. We ended up putting it in bags and taking it off to the local green recycling facility, since the volume overwhelmed us and the density of bindweed made it useless as compost.
