And filled up the spaces with mixture of fine akadama soil, kanuma soil (an acidic version of akadama as far as I can tell) and powdered sphagnum. On my previous successfull attampt the seeds germinated best on this substrate but I also included a layer of sphagnum dust. I forgot to do this on this trial.
