I saw a trully weird 'hoverfly' in the garden yesterday. It seems it is Physocephala rufipes, a bumblebee parasite. I have attached a picture I found on the web, since I was too slow to get a picture with my own camera. I also saw the first flying ant of the year.

Creating the meadow
