Another gap in my schedule today allowed me another chance to find the Lizard Orchids at the Devil's Dyke - this time approached from the Newmarket end. Very eaily found after a half hour walk (at my meandering pace...) the first few were most easily located by the amount of crushed vegetation around them:
However ten yards on there were more, and better specimens. I can only assume that the photographer lay down for the prize winning shot and having bagged the images left without even bothering to see if there were any more. I managed to get all the images i needed either from the path or by very carefully walking across the turf. I am happy with the results considering it was a wet, windy day!
