Fritillaryapril06

As well as orchids I have always been captivated by snakes head fritillaries, and since the wet meadow seed mixture came from Cricklade, famous for it's fritillaries, it seemed appropriate to include some. I bought some seed but i was under no illusions about the likelihood of it working so I thought I would plant a few. The fact that they met the same fate as the orchids while everything that was planted in the dry meadow has thrived has lead me to conclude that either they damped off in the damp soil of the wet meadow or all the plants I really like are just bloody awkward buggers. Maybe that's why I like them. Well i will put the fritillaries on hold along with the orchids...
